Party With The 2 Crew

We are having a fundraiser May 22nd @ Norine's On Oakwood Rd. Oak Creek, Wi. (click on flier to enlarge). We are thankful for the sponsorship dollars we have recieved so far, but as you know, auto racing is a very expensive sport. So to help out the 2 car and make it go fast, we are going to have a benefit party. Their are cash prizes of $300, $200, & $100. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5.00, 3 for $10.00 or 10 for $20.00. Their will be some raffles for some delicious meats, and other various items and many, many door prizes. This is also (besides building the racecar) a challenge to organize and it couldn't be done without all our various family and friends. Our (2 crew) heartfelt thanks goes out to all who are helping put this thing together and make it possible.

One week to go before the 1st race. (April 24th @ Dells Motor Speedway)

Starting To Come Together

It's been a week since my last update, but it has been a good one. Transmisson and motor is in, new tires were delivered to the shop. We took the car down to Gurnee,Ill on Friday and had the exhaust system installed. Then we went directly to our 'ol buddies shop, (9th Ave Auto Body - So. Milw) Brian and he painted the car this weekend. Yes Shawn Jr. it has FLAMES! Bruno put the tape on to outline the flames. Man, he's good! He will also be putting a red border to outline the flames later in the week. On Monday Brian will clear coat it, then we will bring the car back to race shop for FINAL assembly. Driveshaft should be delivered this week also. Oh, before I forget, we have named the racecar. She's now called "NORINE". After our beloved friend. As you can see above, we now have our new logo. We are having a "Party With The 2 Crew" fund raiser May 22nd. (see flier below) It is now 6 days till practice at Dells Motor Spw, and 13 days before the first race. Think we'll make it?.....Stay Tuned.....

"HAPPY EASTER" Everyone

And a good Easter weekend it has been. Shawn picked up the motor yesterday. Plus we picked up Tim Johnson's company, DRTJ Systems (electrical contractor) as a sponsor. The pictures are (close) to what the car will look like with colors and graphics. The car paint scheme is going to have "flames" per request of Shawn Jr. Brian (doing graphics) came buy the shop yesterday to take measurements and get our ideas what we want on the car. This week, motor goes in, then it's off to exhaust guy on Friday to have exhaust built/installed. Shopping list this week consist of wheels, radiator, battery, drive shaft, shocks, clutch, and ????
